The reason of ServerCheckInterval setting?

Hi!

The ServerCheckInterval setting of LexFloatServer could be set to “0” at any time by client, preventing LexFloatServer from checking license validity. Assuming that license validity initially was set to 0 - “no expiry”, how can I ensure that client’s LexFloatServer will stop leasing licenses when I deactivate the product key?

Hi,

In your scenario you cannot ensure that LexFloatServer will stop leasing licenses when you deactivate the product key.

In some local networks there is no internet connection, server is also activated using offline activation, in that case you need to disable server checks.

If you are setting licence validity to no expiry it sort of means the licence is perpetual. You would usually not need to revoke or deactivate the licence key in that case as it is machine locked and cannot be reused/abused.

In case it is a concern, we can add support for server validation of server check frequency, so that user can’t tamper the settings client side.
