Server sync grace period

Hi,

I have a question just to be sure of the impact of the setting “Server sync grace period” for hosted floating licenses.

If we set this setting into the policy to xxx seconds, does it mean an activated licence will stay as “validated” on the local computer (when we call IsLicenseGenuine, LexActivator will return OK) during xxx seconds even if the computer has network problem (or offline) ?

Hi,

“Server sync grace period” is primarily meant for node-locked licenses. It doesn’t have meaningful effect in floating licenses. If the lease fails to renew due to network error, the license activation will be immediately removed from the machine and deleted from the server.
