Removing license when deactivation limit was hit


I’m trying to activate a new license on a machine, but the license that is currently active on that machine has reached its deactivation limit. Since the current one can not be deactivated, the new one can not be activated (returning a license mismatch error).

What is the proposed approach in this scenario? Is there a way to force-remove a license? It’s fine that the license is not “freed up” (can not be used on new computers), we just want to remove it from the computer. And we prefer not to raise the deactivation limit.

We managed to fix it on our end. It actually works to activate a license before the previous one was deactivated.
