Data.conf share in host and docker

Hi,
I would like to use node-locked license (offline).
I already specific the setdatadirectory.
But when I checkout from host to docker.
error code show: la_e_machine_fingerprint.

No matter in host or docker, the node-locked license should know there is same machine.

Can I do something to solve this problem?

Hi,

Docker and Host provide different levels of access to the underlying hardware. Hence, the fingerprint won’t be same in both the cases.

For Dockerized apps we strongly recommend floating licenses.

@adnan-kamili Is there anything wrong when using floating licenses and docker to deactivate the license when the docker container is stopped and reactivate the license when docker starts? We would need to figure out use cases where the system stops unexpectedly.

Hi,

We would recommend keeping lease duration low so that activation removes on its own.
