How does the infinite grace period work?

L

I am looking for clarification on how setting the grace period for a Node-Locked license is supposed to work. If I create a license with a grace period of -1, it still seems to require an initial internet connection and throws the “check internet connection” error. However, if I set the grace period to a large value, it does not appear to require that initial connection.

Is my understanding of an infinite grace period incorrect, or is there something wrong with my implementation?

Dear @LoganCollinsISP

Thank you for reaching out.

When the grace period is set to -1, it means the grace period is unlimited, so there is no grace period expiration to enforce.

When IsLicenseGenuine() is called without an internet connection, the license callback will return LA_E_INET and can be safely ignored. This is an expected behavior and is unrelated to whether the grace period is finite or infinite.
